Semarang, October 1, 2024 – The Occupational Safety and Health Study Program of the Faculty of Public Health at Diponegoro University successfully held a Guest Lecture on September 30, 2024, themed “Psychosocial Factors in Occupational Health.” This event featured prominent speaker Prof. Sibel Kiran, MD, Ph.D., from Koç University, Istanbul, Turkiye. More than 250 participants, including students, lecturers, and practitioners in the field of occupational health, attended this meeting.
The event, moderated by Prof. Hanifa Maher Denny, SKM, MPH, Ph.D., aimed to enhance understanding of how psychosocial factors can impact workers’ health across various industries. Participants showed great enthusiasm during the question-and-answer session following the presentation, demonstrating a high level of interest in this relevant topic for today’s workplace. With the success of this event, the Occupational Safety and Health Study Program is committed to continuing to educate students and the public about the importance of holistic occupational health and to encourage further research in the field of psychosocial factors in the workplace.
